Having performed on Australia’s no.1 breakfast show, ‘The Morning Show’ and also singing at half time for the SOuth Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league team, talented singer-songwriter Jo Cooper has dropped the beautiful and haunting video for her single ‘Broken’.
The video, which was directed and edited by visual storyteller, Simon Smith, and filmed by Ed Reiss, was shot in an old theatre which Cooper had come across during her tour to promote her debut album, ‘Wildfire’.
Cooper attended an exhibition at the theatre and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere, knowing it would provide the perfect location for a music video. However, the venue was all set to be demolished after the exhibition so Jo got a move on and quickly arranged to film the video there the very next day.
Once the exhibition had come to an end, an artist named Mayonaize decide to paint the whole floor, creating a stunning backdrop for the visuals to Jo’s track.
Jo’s emotional lyricism is perfectly reinforced in the video by the chemistry of the couple dancing and the evocative lighting used.
