‘A finer gift hasn’t come from France since the Statue of Liberty was delivered’, said Irish American news, in regard to Doolin’s self-titled 2016 album. We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
Upon the release of their second album ‘CIRCUS BOY’, Doolin have certainly lived up to listeners’ expectations – offering a record full of ambition and adventure. The album sees the fusion of Celtic, and Irish tradition focus with high production values and a range of new instrumental implementations, including the piano, drums, and brass, all of which are new sonic elements for the band.
With a vast accumulation of talent, as well as expressive, emotive lyrics, there’s nothing to criticise when it comes to Doolin’s work.
