Hello Cosmos return with their latest single “Love Is Waiting,” taken from the newly released EP Old Friends Know. The track captures a softer and more introspective side of the band, built around delicate vocals and textured, atmospheric production.

Recorded at Greenmount Studios in Leeds with producers Rob Slater and Jamie Lockhart, the song stands out for its subtle details—analogue tape warmth, gentle piano and guitar, and expressive violin from Angela Chan. Notably, frontman Ben Robinson explores a quieter vocal style than ever before, adding to the track’s emotional depth.

A Reflection on Modern Love

“Love Is Waiting” explores the idea that real love often gets lost in the noise of everyday life. Instead of dramatic moments, the song focuses on stillness and reconnection—finding meaning through people, nature, and shared experiences.

This theme ties into the band’s wider creative direction, which encourages stepping away from digital overload and reconnecting with the real world.

Old Friends Know and what’s Next

The Old Friends Know EP showcases a more stripped-back Hello Cosmos sound, while still experimenting with remixes and electronic textures. It follows their album Come Out Tonight, which marked a major return after several years.

Now celebrating a decade as a project, Hello Cosmos continue to evolve with new music on the horizon—including another album and a more ambient “comedown” record.

“Love Is Waiting” feels like a quiet but powerful step forward, proving that sometimes less really is more.
