As an ex-prisoner and ex-member of the infamous Brixton PDC gang, Noble1BOF has been able to turn his life around with the help of his musical passions that culminate in his upcoming album release, Benefits of Freedom, which will be released on April 22nd. The lead single off of the album is a track called “No Games,” and features Clara. Being backed by an ex-prisoner label with ex-prisoner management, it has become Noble1BOF’s mission to keep young people from making the same mistakes he had made earlier in his life; his music is a testament to this mission.
Out of all of the songs released in 2022 thus far, “No Games” undeniably has one of the most epic openings. Beginning with strings with a light drum beat beneath it, “No Games” lets the listener immediately know that there is a presence entering their ear canals that is not to be messed with. When Noble1BOF finally enters with his rap, the backing strings and drums build in intensity and complexity that only help to convey the powerful presence of Noble1BOF.
It is during the chorus that one is able to hear Clara’s perfectly placed vocal melody that serves as a good contrast with Noble1BOF’s rapping. Clara’s beautiful vocals are highlighted even further when the backing track disappears into the background and it is Clara’s voice alone. After the second time Clara makes an appearance in “No Games,” the track’s strings begin to fade away to let the electronic pulsating synths take the song’s primary role. “No Games” is definitely a track that has something to offer for everyone kind of rap fan out there.
