RELEASE 3RD SINGLE “ FLUOXETINE” HERE

Marking a significant moment for both artists, Ultimate Buzz represents a deeply personal and creatively raw body of work shaped by years of collaboration and shared experiences.

“Fluoxetine” Explores Grief, Love, and Transformation

Alongside the album announcement, The Leaving have released their third single, “Fluoxetine.” Following earlier tracks “Pray” and “Saved,” the new single dives into emotional depth with striking honesty.

“Fluoxetine” captures the fragile space between grief and healing. Built on themes of existential doubt, love, and emotional responsibility, the track reflects the struggle of wanting to comfort someone while feeling unequipped to do so. The song was born from insomnia, fleeting euphoria, and moments of psychological intensity—ultimately transforming sorrow into strength.

The result is a powerful and introspective piece that highlights the duo’s ability to blend vulnerability with sonic intensity.

A Collaboration Rooted in Decades of Musical History

The Leaving is far from a spontaneous project. Both Doherty and Scott bring decades of experience from the Glaswegian music scene, having worked with influential acts like The Twilight Sad, Mogwai, Idlewild, and Aerogramme.

Now based in Los Angeles, the duo channels their shared history into a sound that feels both refined and instinctive. Their chemistry—built over years of friendship—shapes a project that is as emotionally charged as it is musically cohesive.

What to Expect from The Leaving

Described as music forged in grief and rebuilt through connection, The Leaving offers a raw and unfiltered artistic vision. Their debut single “Saved” was already praised as a “futuristic anthem,” setting the tone for what’s to come.

With more music and live shows expected to be announced soon, Ultimate Buzz positions The Leaving as one of the most intriguing new projects emerging from established artists.
