After having shattered records by raising £350,000 in a staggering five hours in 2018, the UK’s first carbon-negative restaurant, Stem & Glory, have returned for another round of crowdfunding to keep the fire alive on their upward trajectory.

This will take the form of a brand new branch for the award-winning plant-based brand with two floors and an extensive vegan bar built at London’s renowned Broadgate Circle – to be opened in April 2022. With a fittingly unique design by celebrated interior designer, Afroditi Krassa, it promises to be an exciting extension for this rapidly growing brand name.

This new venture builds upon Stem & Glory’s spotless history, having been 100% crowdfunded since the brand’s inception through the sheer adoration and love that consumers and investors alike share for the restaurant. The crowdfunding efforts, and the dedication from founder Louise Palmer-Masterton, combined to create the UK’s first carbon-negative restaurant which, to date, operates on 100% renewable energy and at 20% lower emissions than the average eatery.

With this in mind it’s no wonder that the UK government awarded Stem & Glory a ‘Heroes of Net Zero’ at COP 26 while Louise themselves was recently named Business Woman of the Year at the Regional SME Awards.

The brand’s next chapter is yet another step forward in the name of an eco-conscious world with this new stage of crowdfunding, due to go live 27th January 2022, being their largest to date with eager patrons ready to aid the beloved brand in the name of a green globe. The climate is ever-changing and the pressure to get ahead is ever-mounting for the industries of the world and this next step for Stem & Glory is a testament to how it can be done right.
