Plant 10,000 Trees with Clíodhna Ní Aodáin’s “Full Circle – Cellos for Trees” Irish cellist Clíodhna Ní Aodáin is making a call to action to plant 10,000 trees with her new single, “Full Circle – Cellos for Trees”.
Clíodhna has composed a multi-track cello piece to invite cellists from around the world to participate in creating a beautiful music video project. Each cellist is asked to choose a part to play and then make a video of themselves playing under their favourite tree.
The cellists’ videos will then be combined to create a virtual forest of cellos and trees. Drawing on her background in classical and improvised music, Clíodhna opens an acoustic portal to another realm. Her music melds contemporary and traditional styles to create a new genre that evokes the atmosphere of the Otherworld.
Clíodhna’s call to action is inspired by the early Celtic people’s sacred reverence for their environment. With the track “Full Circle – Cellos for Trees” released on Earth Day of planting 10,000 trees. This is an incredible opportunity to create something beautiful and make a real difference in the world.
