Singer-songwriter Jon McDevitt releases seasonal single ‘Father Christmas’ breaking away from the Christmas cliché by having an entirely unique angle on the holiday. From creating the theme tune to the Channel 5 series ‘A Different Life’ to selling 2000 unsigned albums with his original bandB, McDevitt is no stranger to the music industry.
The Christmas sing along stands out in the crowded market of Christmas tracks with carefully considered lyrics with the help of co-writer Dominic Hudson. Hudson plucked the lyrics from elements of his own life being a separated parent. Although this was Hudson’s image, McDevitt has been approached by many with different opinions, showing it can be interpreted by anyone how they wish.
The accessible seasonal single consists of multiple talented musicians such as violinist Anna Jenkins who has worked with the likes of Emily Barker, The Unthanks and Frank Turner when he opened the 2012 Olympics.
