In a world where hip-hop has typically been perceived as ‘straight’, LBGT hip hop artist Tony Banks has had to find his own voice and niche within the genre, defying many of our conventional conceptions of modern music. Now he is back with the minimalist-house infused ‘Run’ featuring EarthTone and JwlB, the second single from his upcoming EP Yes Homo.

With musical influences ranging from the likes of Michael Jackson, Missy Elliott, and Andre 3000, Tony has developed an individual style of his own that cleverly borrows elements from these iconic artists, embellishing upon them all the while. In the past, Tony has also opened for Cakes Da Killa, Mykki Blanco and he has also worked with JwLB of Yo! Majesty. Described as ‘Move ya feet, feel good’ music with a touch of the reality we live in, songs like ‘Run’ encapsulate exactly what Tony Banks is all about; pushing boundaries and making killer beats.
