For over the thirty years, Peter Schott has performed alongside his Coconut partner in crime, August Darnell – better known to the wider world as Kid Creole. With August’s back momentarily turned (in a particularly flamboyant dance move, no doubt), Peter has managed to escape his clutches to release his first solo work. With ‘The Prince of Pizazz‘ proud to announce the official launch of his record label 2C2C (or, Too Cool To Conga)- a home for his own music and for those who refuse to be categorised and pigeon-holed, Schott Treatment has found it’s perfect platform to launch debut single “Being” in September 2019.

Prompted by their shared obsession for film scores, they have combined their talents to bring the rain-soaked shadowy side streets to their zingy original tracks – hard-boiled classics with their lapels pulled up tho their ears. Inspired by the films of Alfred Hitchcock and the James Bond series, Schott Treatment weaves a unique tapestry of classical themes and existential lyrics that stand as a homage to the great soundtracks of the 50s, 60s and beyond.

‘Being’s chanteuse is Jo Harrop, a velvet-voiced singer rising on the UK scene, who recently appeared at the Royal Albert Hall as part of London Jazz Festival 2018, and is also a regular at The 606 club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Hideaway, The Sage, she headlined Scarborough Jazz Festival and Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival, amongst many other respected venues.

Schott Treatment – ‘Being’ (feat Jo Harrop), the debut release on Kid Creole’s label 2C2C is due for release on 13th September 2019
