Reed Blue’s recent single, entitled “Shadow Trip (Remastered Cut),” was released everywhere on December 6th of 2021. Reed Blue comes from the Italian region of Switzerland, more commonly known as Ticino. Ticino is not the region a listener would typically expect this kind of east coast style hip hop to emerge, which only helps to add to the appeal of Reed Blue and “Shadow Trip (Remastered Cut).”
Reed Blue first got his start in musical endeavors at a very young age and took a lot of inspiration from his DJ brother, who exposed Reed Blue to music from outside of Switzerland. Reed Blue’s brother exposed Reed Blue to rap and club music and even had Reed Blue be right beside him as he grew as an artist and pioneer for Ticino. If it had not been for his brother, Reed Blue would not be creating the kind of music he makes now.
“Shadow Trip (Remastered Cut)” brings back the sounds of old-school hip hop through its usage of many different samples, a prominent bass line, and other electronic sound effects. The message of “Shadow Trip (Remastered Cut)” is one that Reed Blue expresses best.

Before “Shadow Trip (Remastered Cut)” was released, it had a somewhat longer than expected shelf-life. Reed Blue believed that it was necessary to edit the track, by shortening and remastering it, and wait for the right moment to unveil to the world, and it could not be a more appropriate time than right now.
