Damien Cain is set to return with “Caleb,” a new single arriving on May 29, 2026, that signals a significant new phase in his long-running career. Created as a duet with UK vocalist Jamie Wiltshire, the track presents a more personal and emotionally direct side of the internationally recognised alternative rock artist. With its focus on identity, love, and vulnerability, “Caleb” stands out as one of Cain’s most intimate releases to date.

Cain’s career stretches back more than three decades, beginning in the late 1980s underground scene before expanding into wider international recognition through the 1990s and 2000s. Among his best-known achievements is the cult success of “Age of Darkness,” which sold more than 250,000 units and received an IMPALA Diamond Award. After relocating to Ireland in 2020, Cain’s recent creative output has reflected a renewed sense of introspection and artistic independence.

That evolution is central to “Caleb.” The song brings an authentic queer narrative into alternative rock, a space where male/male storytelling remains relatively uncommon. The duet format strengthens that perspective, with Jamie Wiltshire selected for the emotional quality of his voice and his ability to support the song’s cinematic and honest tone.

The single arrives after the success of Cain’s 2026 album Standarte, which earned critical acclaim across Europe and beyond. The album’s blend of alternative rock, gothic elements, and melodic metal helped it reach No. 4 on both the US and German Alternative Charts, while drawing praise from publications including Sonic Seducer, ORKUS!, and ProgRockJournal. As Cain himself puts it, “This is not about trends. It’s about telling real stories — the ones that matter.”
