Greg Hancock returned to performing in 2012 after many years living overseas. He quickly established himself as a songwriter and performer around the South West, appearing at festivals and venues all over the region.

He often performs as a solo artist but In 2014 he started a collaboration with Jo Hooper and they often record and perform together too. Greg’s unconventional songs deal with some of the stranger aspects of modern life seen from a slightly skewed viewpoint: everything from politics and baldness to relationships and science.

He uses stories, portraits and closely observed detail to catch and hold the attention of the listener. His unusual guitar technique has evolved from early influences such as Nic Jones and Joni Mitchell. In 2015 a 5 track EP titled “Comfortable Hatred” was completed and there are plans for another set of recordings in 2016.

Jo Hooper also performs with the band Mudskippers. She describes herself as an “Alternative Cellist” who is always looking for new ways to fully exploit the potential of the instrument.
